Not sure whether to just link this or to hotlink it, but this is possibly the most imaginative thing coming out of the kitchen that I can remember seeing since I made Tripe and Pigs Feet a la Rosemary in a po man’s imitation of Osso Buco.

Not only for search engine indexing purposes - right here is about the best simple explanation, by Mikkel dMib Svendson at Search Engine Watch forums, of why Session IDs should not be used:
I’ve been noticing some people using them on sites even when there are no product pages and no shopping cart involved.
And as a side issue as well, I’ve been seeing some people requesting link exchanges - or linking to people - with Session IDs on the pages. There is no benefit from links like that, and though I assume most are unaware of it, somehow I suspect that some aren’t and are just using it as a way to prevent linking out in reciprocal linking.

This is an outstanding paper by the Aberdeen Group presented by Linkshare.com
A brief history of marketing is offered, and the paper then goes into marketer/merchant relationships, issues and benefits of productive attitudes and actions.
It’s in PDF format, so printing out is a help for a solid read.
